FAQs

How should I prepare for my shoot?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session with your hair and makeup fully done. There won’t be time to create your look from scratch during the shoot, though we can refine and adjust it as we go. Being well-rested and hydrated will help you look your best. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly.

Avoid fake tan, especially if you’re naturally fair, as it can undermine your portrait and limit your casting range. If you are trying a new hairstyle, have it done at least a week in advance so it can settle and ensure you are happy with it.

What should I bring and wear?

Wear clothes you feel comfortable and confident in. It is important that you look and feel great in the images, as this will translate directly to the photos!

Layers and textures work very well in headshots. Bring a variety of tops, jackets, and layers in different colours and necklines. Avoid bold patterns, prints, logos and any other accessories that may become dated quickly.

Headshots are all about the eyes, so wear colours that complement yours:

• Blue eyes: Soft greens, pinks, neutrals, deep blues

• Green eyes: Coral, purple, deep greens, pale yellows

• Hazel eyes: Lavender, orange, burgundy, dark neutrals

• Brown eyes: Khaki greens, rich blues, gold, soft pinks.

If you are unsure what colours suit you best, I recommend bringing a black, grey, or white top and a few additional coloured tops and jackets, as advised above.

Pack the essentials before leaving for your session:

• Makeup

• Makeup wipes

• Powder

• Mirror

• Brushes/combs

• Straighteners/curlers

• Clothes hangers and a suit bag.

More options are better than too few!

How should I do my makeup?

Keep your makeup natural and fresh. We want these images to represent you and your normal appearance accurately.

Avoid any highlighters with a lot of shimmer, as they may become distracting. Light contouring is fine, but aim for a dewy finish instead of matte, as it is better for editing. If needed, bring powder to manage shine.

Avoid liquid eyeliner or liner on the lower lash line. Makeup should enhance your natural features.

How many outfit changes can I have?

Depending on the time booked, I aim for 3-4 outfit changes per session. This provides a range of looks to suit different casting types.

Can I arrive early?

Yes, please arrive 15 minutes before your session. You can wait in the café downstairs if you’re early. If you’re running late or lost, please send me a text, as I may be with another client.

How and when will I receive my images?

Your images will be uploaded to a private gallery within 72 hours of your shoot. You can then review, favourite, and purchase your selections from the gallery. My standard turnaround for retouched images is two weeks.

How much do additional retouched images cost?

The cost for colour-graded, fully retouched high-resolution images is as follows:

• 1 or 2 images = £30 each

• 3 or more images = £24 each

Prices Inc VAT

Can I get unedited images or share them on social media?

No, I don't release unedited images. My work represents both you and my brand, so I ensure every image meets a professional standard. Purchased images will be kept on file for 1 year, and only retouched images may be shared online.
